Marybeth learned to read with some difficulty and much help from her mother and teachers persistence. Reading is an important part of human history and culture. The ability to read and create literature is a uniquely human trait that has allowed people to carrying on stories and legends that were important to them its also allows new generations to learn from the past and leave records of their current state so that they too will be remembered. Reading also allows one to escape from one reality and experience another world of wonder and adventure. Reading allows the imagination to thrive.
Marybeth believes that becoming a good reader is simple, you simply pick up a book and read and when you finish the book you find another and just continue to read and reflect on what you have learned. Reading is easiest for Miss. Marsh when she can become invested in a story and its characters. Marybeth's greatest struggle with reading is staying focused ,especially when she doesn't find a work interesting or find a connection between herself as the reader and the character. When looking for a good book Marybeth leans towards historical fiction and fiction novels. In most cases you can find her in the young adult section of any given bookstore or library. Although she has been known to stray to some of the more classical works from time to time including the works of Jane Austen and William Shakespeare as well as the classic Jane Eyre . All in all a good book needs and intriguing plot that dose not give away all of its secrets at once and characters that despite being fictional are still logical and intelligent.
Scene a young age Marybeth had loved to be read to and to make up her own stories, although at a young age she struggled to learn how to spell and write and often felt discouraged by the task. However in 6th grade with the encouragement of her teacher Mrs. Fink Marybeth developed a new love of writing. The Art of writing is an important part of culture and serves as both an outlet and a way of communication. Writing an outlet of imagination that can allow a person to express themselves. With the creation of modern technology and modern communication most of ours social world evolves on the internet the ability to write and to be informed is offerd almost world wide. It is almost impossible to be involved in modern society and not write. One of the most important parts of being able to write is no longer ,as it used to be, were spelling and grammar although the skills are very helpful. To write well someone should be well informed on what there writing about. If its a creation of fiction it is important to be invested in your work. If your hearts not in what your writing neither will the readers. This is a philosophy Marybeth Marsh tries to fallow in her works. Marybeth prefers to work on creative writing pieces rather then document or reviews. Most of her work is created by her imagination in the beginning and then help along by taking notice of the world around her. She finds she works best when she doesn't get caught up on the small details . She is grateful for constructive criticism but only when ask for, and often seeks the advise of her peers. She doesn't often writ at home , not from a lack of desire to but mostly from a lack of time or ideas. Like most artiest Marybeth has a love hate relationship with her work if the work is forced she feels it lacks heart and therefore personality.
